I have luckily been successful in attracting attention with my works. First book was 'The Archer' which I began in 2012 and put into print in October of 2013, right at the beginning of The Covid Virus, needless to say I had issues with corrections, editing and getting it right. In time I learned that no one was working in any of the publishing offices due to restrictions put upon us by the government. That was when the nightmare began.
My lessons learned were those of not trusting anyone or anything they said. To this very day I am rewriting all the many mistakes that were put through in my books. To you I say, trust little and read as much as you can to understand the process of Publishing. My books all hold a 5 star rating even though imperfect. Substantive in content they will take you a riveting journey of truth, adventure , love , hope , betrayal, and murder. I have been invited to many book signings around the world and have won many honors for their content, for which I am very grateful.
The movie industry has shown interest in many of my books but sadly with a cost too high to engage in the prospect of film . Instead of arguing over finances I tell them I have nothing to give but will consider for them to buy the rights for my book so as to streamline the process. Funny it is that they run away quickly when they doublethink spending money on me. Everyone in the industry is out for the money and will tell you all they think will inspire you to spend every dime you have. With all the excitement and travel I did for The Archer I found I spent approximately $30,000 on that book. Now with experience I see that I need to do a rewrite to make the improvements that would satisfy me.
I caution you to take all the accolades while you hold close your purse strings. I believe you should continue to live your life's dreams and write to your heart's content. Never take ourselves too seriously while enjoying all the moments. Be aware that it is a money game and true interest in your work is in truth, the game of the salesman. Look for "The Archer", 'Behind the Glass Door' 'Samantha's Rig", 'A Frog named Dog", 'Taylor's Dream", Giselle and so many more to come. See my Amazon Books here.
